1. What are the dates and venue of Fest O Comm 2020?
Fest O Comm 2020 will be conducted on the 6th and 7th of January 2020. The venue for the event is Symbiosis Knowledge Village, the picturesque hill top campus located in Lavale.
2. Who can participate in Fest O Comm 2020?
Any student pursuing under-graduate degree or post-graduate degree program can participate in Fest O Comm 2020
3. Can I register for more than one competition?
Yes, you can register for more than one competition. However, the organisers will not be responsible in case of clash of event timelines.
4. Will I receive certificates for participation?
Yes, Fest O Comm does provide all of the participants with a certificate of participation. The winners will receive cash prize along with certificates.
5. How can I register for Fest O Comm?
Participants can register for Fest O Comm through the official website and can make payments for registration through various methods of online payments. The deadline for online registration is 31st of December 2019.
6. Will I receive a refund for cancellation?
Cancellation for event cannot be substituted for by another entry and no refund will be made on cancellation.
7. What are the security policies during Fest O Comm?
In line with all other major venues, all visitors and employees entering the fest should be prepared to comply with other security screening requirements.
All bags are subject to inspection prior to entering the Symbiosis Knowledge Village, Hill Top Campus. No backpacks or bags larger than 9x10x12 will be allowed on the grounds.
Please leave any unnecessary articles secured within your vehicle or at home to expedite your entry into the park. Items NOT ALLOWED at Fest O Comm, CANNOT be checked in.
Any illegal items, or weapons (knives, firearms, objects that could be used as weapons), etc., confiscated by security, will be handed over to local authorities.
Fest O Comm is not responsible for fire, theft, damage or loss of vehicle including articles left within.
8. How do I get to Fest O Comm venue?
Symbiosis International University operates a regular bus service which plies students from the S. B Road Campus to the Hill Top Campus at regular intervals. Alternately, Ola and Uber services are available on the campus.
Outstation participants can travel to the city via rail, road and air. Then can use the bus or cab services to commute to the Lavale campus. The Pune Airport is located 27 kilometres from the campus and Railway Station is approximately 20 kilometres from the campus.
9. Will accommodation be provided on campus?
Accommodation for participants will be subject to availability. Registration for accommodation for outstation participants must be completed during the time of registration.
Alternatively, there are Oyo Rooms available near the campus where participants can book rooms for accommodation.
10. Can I leave and re-enter the fest?
Each participant needs to carry their own College Identity Card, in order to enter the fest.
11. What are the facilities available at the campus?
The campus has a canteen – which serves both vegetarian and non -vegetarian variety of Indian cuisine and snacks available. In addition, it has utility store, juice centre, snack centre. The campus has 2 ATM machines available and emergency medical centre located in the college premises.
12. What are your policies on safety during Fest O Comm?
We believe everyone should feel safe and enjoy their time at Fest O Comm. We do not tolerate any behaviour that makes our guests feel unsafe, unwelcome, or uneasy. We encourage all guests to respect each other. Harassment in any form is not acceptable behaviour.
Harassment could include, but is not limited to: stalking, verbal or physical intimidation, offensive verbal comments, physical assault and/or battery, harassing or non-consensual photography or recording, inappropriate physical contact, or unwelcome physical attention. If you have been subjected to harassment, please contact Fest-O-Comm Crowd Management staff.
